Misha De Leon Reimagines Himig Handog Originals in Debut EP ‘Between Sighs’

“Idol Philippines” season 2 alum Misha De Leon breathes new life into Himig Handog songs in her debut extended play (EP) “Between Sighs.”
“I’m truly overwhelmed and thankful for the support people have shown for my music. I’m so grateful for the entire StarPop team for the love, time, and energy they poured into helping me in this EP,” she said.
The six-track EP showcases Misha’s reinterpretations of “True Love” composed by Mike & Noah, “Sugarol” composed by John Sabili, “Wow Na Feelings” composed by Karlo Zabala, “Sa’yong Mundo” composed by Joan Da and LJ Manzano, “Out” composed by Erica Sabalboro, and “Nyebe” composed by Aries Sales. StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos handled the record’s production.
Meanwhile, the key track, “Sa’yong Mundo,” landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday Philippines and Fresh Finds Philippines playlists.
Misha began as a contestant in “The Voice Kids Philippines” season 3 where she was coached by Sharon Cuneta. She also joined “Idol Philippines” season 2, earning praise for her standout performances of “Oo” and “Sign of the Times.”
In 2023, she released her debut single “Damdamin,” which has since garnered over 200,000 streams on Spotify. She followed this with the releases of “Haging” and “Equilibrium,” further showcasing her distinct sound and artistry.
Beyond her solo work, Misha also lent her voice to notable soundtracks, including “Dito Ba” from the film “A Very Good Girl” and “Gising Gising” from the series “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay.”
