Every drop counts — and every smile matters!
This October 24, in celebration of World Polio Day, the Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay (RCMET) and the Rotaract Club of Metro East Taytay (RACMET) joined hands to make a real difference in the lives of children and families through their 3-in-1 Service Project for a Healthier Tomorrow.
It was a day filled with love, laughter, and service — a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can protect lives and bring communities together.
Patak Polio — One Drop That Saves a Lifetime
Children of Sitio Dayap, Brgy. San Roque, Angono, Rizal happily received their Poliomyelitis vaccines, made possible with the help of the Municipal Health Office of Angono, Rizal.
Each tiny drop was a symbol of protection — giving every child a better chance at a healthy, polio-free future.
I-Wash to Iwas Sakit — Clean Hands, Healthy Lives
Through fun and interactive handwashing activities, kids learned the importance of keeping their hands clean to stay healthy. Parents joined in too, turning a simple hygiene lesson into a joyful family moment.
Rotary Market: End Polio Now!
The team also brought the Rotary Market: End Polio Now!, a creative and lively activity that spread awareness while strengthening the community spirit. It was a wonderful way to show that helping others can be both meaningful and fun!
A Day of Teamwork and Service
Leading the project were GP Don Santiago, SAG Marilyn Santos, and Service Director Ariel Espino, together with the ever-energetic members of RCMET and RACMET, all serving with hearts full of care and compassion.
Special thanks to President-Elect Elmer Deloritos and the Municipal Health Office of Angono, Rizal for their generous support in providing the vaccines that made this mission possible.
“Every drop, every visit, and every act of service brings us closer to a world where no child suffers from polio again,” shared the team with pride and hope.
