‘Meet, Greet & Bye’ Becomes 2025’s Top-Grossing Filipino Movie

Star Cinema’s mega blockbuster hit “Meet, Greet & Bye” is now the highest-grossing Filipino movie of the year to date, with over P175 million global box office record as of Friday (November 21).
Currently in its second week in Philippine cinemas and showing in various territories worldwide, the film has been well-received by audiences due to its heartfelt storytelling under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Sampana and standout performances by Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Belle Mariano, Juan Karlos, and Maricel Soriano.
“What impressed me most is how the film portrayed the pain, sacrifices, and quiet battles within a Filipino family. The unconditional love between family members was shown with honesty and heart. Akala ko at first similar siya sa Seven Sundays, but this one stands on its own — with plot twists, surprises, and emotional punches that truly hit home,” Oyien Gonzales Cimene, a Filipina based in Dubai, said on Facebook.
“Da Facundo’s felt heartbreakingly real. Maricel Soriano is magnetic, delivering a masterclass in acting. Joshua Garcia gives what might be his best performance yet, a performance full of subtlety and raw honesty that tears through the screen. Piolo Pascual also brings depth and quiet intensity, while Belle Mariano and JK Labajo lend the story warmth, humor and sincerity,” posted movie critic JJ’s Movie Mania on Instagram.
“Meet, Greet & Bye” rolled out screenings last Nov. 12, earning P10.5 million on opening day in the country.

The family drama movie is set to kick off screenings in Singapore on Wednesday (Nov. 27) and in Hong Kong and Macau on Sunday (Nov. 30).
