Quimbo eyes House seat in Marikina City
FORMER lawmaker Romero Federico "Miro" Quimbo filed his certificate for candidacy (CoC), seeking to return as the congressional representative of Marikina's second district. Accompanied by his wife, Stella Luz Quimbo, who is the district's incumbent congressional representative, he filed his CoC at the Commission on Elections' National Capital Region office on Monday. He said that "it was not an easy decision because it entails great sacrifice for the family, especially that some of our children are still young." He will run under the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats. Meanwhile, Marikina Councilor Donn Carlo Favis filed his CoC on Monday as he sought the post of congressional representative of the city's second district. Favis will run under the National Unity Party.
