Big things are happening in Taytay—and it starts with something as simple (but powerful) as clean canals and rivers.

Led by Mayor Allan de Leon, together with Councilors JV Valera, Joan Calderon, Patrick Alcantara, and hardworking staff, the LGU has just inspected four new trucks that will boost the operations of our Sagip Ilog and Waste Collection Team.

These trucks are not just vehicles—they're tools that will help us:
✅ Prevent floods
✅ Keep our waterways clear
✅ Improve health and sanitation
✅ Protect the environment for future generations

Why This Matters to YOU:

  1. Flood Prevention:
When canals and drainage systems are blocked, rainwater can’t flow properly—this leads to street flooding, damaged homes, and dangerous commutes. These trucks help us clear waste before it causes problems.

  2. Better Public Health:
Stagnant, dirty water attracts mosquitoes and spreads disease. Clean drainage keeps you and your family safe from illnesses like dengue and leptospirosis.

  3. Cleaner, Safer Neighborhoods:
No one wants to live near overflowing garbage or foul-smelling creeks. This initiative keeps your surroundings fresh, safe, and dignified.

  4. Community Pride:
A clean environment reflects a caring and united community. With everyone doing their part, Taytay becomes a place we’re all proud to call home.

A Message from Mayor Allan de Leon:

"These trucks are part of our commitment to real, lasting change. They’re not just for clean-ups—they're for saving lives, protecting homes, and giving back to the people who work hard and pay their taxes. Every Taytayeño deserves a clean, safe community.”

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • Avoid throwing trash in canals and rivers — even small wrappers cause big problems
  • Segregate your waste at home — separate plastics, food waste, and recyclables
  • Report clogged drains or illegal dumping to your barangay
  • Volunteer in clean-up drives or join your barangay’s environmental programs
  • Teach kids the importance of keeping the environment clean — they’re the future!

This is #SerbisyongMayNgiti in action—real solutions, real results, all for God, Country, and Community.

Let’s all work together for a flood-free, waste-free, and worry-free Taytay!
