Go expresses gratitude for strong survey showing

SEN. Bong Go thanked the Filipino people after being included among the top preferences in the latest OCTA Research senatorial survey for the 2025 elections. In the survey conducted from August 28 to September 2, Go ranked third to sixth with a 49 percent voter preference. The survey interviewed 1,200 respondents nationwide and asked voters who they would choose if the senatorial elections were held today. Go attributed his strong performance to his continuous efforts in public service, particularly his championing of health programs, livelihood support and disaster response initiatives, as well as his advocacies for sports, youth, education and public order. "I am very grateful to our countrymen for their continued trust and support," the chairman of the Senate Committees on Health and Sports said. "This inspires me to continue serving you," Go, known for spearheading the Malasakit Center initiative and supporting various social welfare programs, said in a statement. "Former president Rodrigo Duterte always advised me, 'Always do what is right, put the welfare of our countrymen first, and you will never make a mistake.' That has been my guide in servicing," he said. He assured the public he would remain focused on his priorities of bringing government closer to the people. "Whatever trials we face in the next few days, I will continue to serve you all because it is my habit to serve, and I believe that service to people is service to God," he said.
