4PS tops party-list poll, EduAksyon rises
THE Pagtibayin at Palaguin ang Pangkabuhayang Pilipino (4PS) party-list topped the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey on party-list voter preference. The Stratbase-SWS January 2025 Pre-Election Survey released Thursday showed that 11.80 percent of the intended votes went to the 4PS, when the respondents were asked the question, "If the elections were held today, who would you vote for party-list?" In second place was Duterte Youth, with 6.05 percent and in third was the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) with 5.41 percent. The top two party-lists in the survey are poised to guarantee three seats in the House of Representatives by obtaining more than 6 percent of the votes. The third placer is guaranteed two seats, by obtaining 4 percent. Five other party-lists are guaranteed one House seat each after obtaining at least 2 percent of the votes: Senior Citizens (3.43 percent), Ako Bicol (3.27 percent), Tingog (2.75 percent), FPJ Panday (2.45 percent), Bayanihan (2.45 percent), and Kabataan (2.11 percent). SWS said other party-list candidates obtained less than 2 percent of the intended votes, among them the PBBM (9th place, 1.80 percent), 1Pacman (10th, 1.67 percent), Agimat (11th, 1.61 percent), Malasakit@Bayanihan (12th, 1.58 percent), and the EduAksyon (13th, 1.55 percent). The survey was conducted from Jan. 17 to 20, with Stratbase approving the list of 155 names based on the initial ballot face template released by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the May 12 elections. SWS did face-to-face interviews of 1,800 registered voters ages 18 and above nationwide, with 300 in Metro Manila, 900 in Balance Luzon (outside Metro Manila), 300 in the Visayas, and 300 in Mindanao. The sampling error margins were ±2.31 percent for national percentages, ±5.66 percent for Metro Manila, ±3.27 percent for Balance Luzon, and ±5.66 percent each for both the Visayas and Mindanao.
