Over P3M in shabu seized in Las Piñas

(UPDATE) POLICE authorities seized over P3 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested three drug suspects in a series of antidrug operations in Las Piñas City on Saturday.Operatives from the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-PDEG) said in a statement on Sunday that two of the three arrested were high-value individuals (HVIs).PDEG chief BGen. Eleazar Matta said that Ariel Alejandro Temporal, Jennifer Pagulayan Francisco, both HVIs; and a certain Joan Alcaide Angue, were apprehended during buy-bust operations at C5 Road Golden Haven Memorial Park Barangay Pulang Lupa 1, Las Piñas City.Confiscated from them were 450 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P3,060,000.The arrest of the three suspects was part of operations under the Supply Reduction Strategy as PNP-PDEG's mandated task, Matta said in Filipino, adding that three are now under the custody of the Special Operations Unit-National Capital Region office.Meanwhile, the pieces of drug evidence were turned over to the PNP Forensic Group at Camp Crame, Quezon City for laboratory examination.The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
