Go pushes infrastructure devt in provincial areas

Bong Go raised the importance of infrastructure development in commerce and safety as he joined the turnover ceremony of a newly constructed footbridge in Barangay Malandag, Malungon in Sarangani, on Thursday, Dec. 26. "This project will not be made possible without the support of our colleagues in local government and their dedication to the people of Barangay Malandag," Go said in Filipino. The senator added that the footbridge addressed a critical need for a safe and reliable passage, especially during inclement weather when the river swells. "This footbridge will provide safe passage for residents, especially students as well as farmers who bring produce to town daily," Go said. He reiterated his commitment to uplifting rural communities, noting road rehabilitation and concreting projects have improved connectivity in Sarangani. Maasim town has benefited from the construction of a road linking Sitio Siguel to Sitio Lamalangil in Barangay Tinoto, while Maitum town has seen upgrades in provincial roads, including the NHW Jct. Lebe-Tablao-Sipiling-Banawag, NHW Luan-Ticulab-Cafe, and NHW Malalag-Batian roads. In Malapatan, the concreting of the Lunpadidu-Daansuyan-Upper Suyan Provincial Road and Sitio Aspang to Sitio Klobak Road in Barangay Poblacion have provided critical connections for local communities, Go said. In Malungon town, multiple roads, including the Malalag Cogon-Upper Biangan and Barangay Datal Batong to Barangay Datal Bila roads, have been improved, "bringing progress closer to home," he added.
