Ralph Tulfo seeks reelection as QC lawmaker
QUEZON City 2nd District Rep. Ralph Wendel Tulfo filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC) on Sunday, seeking reelection. Tulfo was accompanied by his parents, Sen. Raffy Tulfo and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo, in filing his CoC at the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) National Capital Region office. Tulfo, who will run under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, said he was hoping that the proposal to establish a Polytechnic University of the Philippines medicine school in his district would become law. Also on Sunday, Sen. Aquilino Pimentel III filed CoC for a seat in the House of Representatives. Pimentel will run for the post of Marikina's first district representative under the Nacionalista Party. Kenneth Gatchalian also filed his CoC for the post of congressional representative of Valenzuela's first district. He will run under the Nationalist People's Coalition. Doctor Katherine Martinez filed her CoC for the post of congressional representative of Valenzuela's second district. "I've been on the ground for quite some time, and I love what I'm doing. I love talking to people; I like helping people", said Martinez, who will run under the National Unity Party. If elected, she will succeed her husband, Valenzuela 2nd District Rep. Eric Martinez, who is on his third consecutive term.
