THE Philippine National Police (PNP) will submit to the Pasig Regional Trial Court the findings of a medical examination on Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy.
PNP spokesman Col. Jean Fajardo said on Sunday the records would be submitted after the lawyers of Quiboloy requested the Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159 for his hospital arrest, along with one of his co-accused, Ingrid Canada, in Davao City.
The court asked the PNP to have Quiboloy examined by government doctors. The check-up was made on Wednesday by a team from the PNP General Hospital. Fajardo said that based on the medical examination's findings, the court will decide on Quiboloy's motion.
Fajardo said that as far as she knows, the televangelist was in good medical condition, based on the daily assessment by nurses at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, where he is being detained.
Aside from government doctors, Quiboloy's condition is also being monitored by his personal physician.
Multiple arrest warrants were issued against Quiboloy, including the sexual abuse of children and qualified human trafficking.
He and his co-respondents pleaded not guilty to the accusations.
Quiboloy has also been indicted by a federal grand jury in the US District Court for the Central District of California for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion and sex trafficking of children; sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling.
