5 more OFWs return from Lebanon – OWWA
FIVE more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) returned from Lebanon on Friday, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said Saturday. They arrived in the country from Riyadh via Saudia Flight SV862 at 2:03 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1. The repatriates were immediately greeted by members of the OWWA's airport team, along with representatives from the Department of Migrant Workers and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. All five repatriates received assistance from government agencies. On Thursday, 10 OFWs also returned to the country from Lebanon via Istanbul. Filipinos are heading home from war-troubled Lebanon due to continued fighting between the Israel Defense Forces and the armed group Hezbollah.
