Kai Sotto played an inspired ballgame as he posted a double-double to help the Yokohama B-Corsairs gut out a 90-85 overtime win against the Chiba Jets on Sunday in the 2023-2024 Japan B. League.
The towering Filipino import posted his best game so far, finishing with 26 points and 11 rebounds alongside one block in a starting role as Yokohama improved to 17-22 card to tie Sendai at 16th spot.
Chiba, meanwhile, remained in sixth place with a 25-14 slate.
The win allowed Yokohama to avenge their previous loss to the Jets, who pulled off an 89-79 victory against them just last Saturday behind the 29-point and 17-rebound outing of American import John Mooney.
In that narrow loss, the 7-foot-3 Sotto also got the starting nod and finished with a double-double as well with 18 markers and 10 boards.
Yokohama returns to action on March 2 against Kawasaki.
