DOH logs 96 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines logged 96 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the lowest daily tally in almost a month, according to GMA Integrated News Research.

The new infections bring the nationwide caseload to 4,120,028, the Department of Health’s (DOH) COVID-19 tracker showed.

The latest bulletin also shows that active cases decreased by 113 to 2,816, while recoveries rose by 663 to 4,050,476.

The death toll has remained at 66,736 since October 27.

The region with the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days is NCR remains with 711, followed by Calabarzon with 321, Central Luzon with 190, Davao Region with 122, and Soccsksargen with 99.

Among cities and provinces, Quezon City recorded the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 178, followed by Cavite province with 106, Rizal province with 103, City of Manila with 89, and Bulacan province with 83.

A total of 2,094 individuals were tested on Monday and 276 testing labs submitted data.

The health department noted that the current COVID-19 bed occupancy is at 14.2%, with 2,803 occupied and 16,987 vacant. — Sherylin Untalan/BM, GMA Integrated News
