Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said SM Prime Holdings donated a fire truck for use of the Volunteer’s Fire Brigade of Pasay on Friday, Oct. 6.
Rubiano was joined by Steven Tan from SM Supermalls, Chief Supt. Nahum Tarroza of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Ben Chua Ching, Jr. and Dionisio See Chu Siu Chun from the Volunteers’ Fire Brigade of Pasay City Inc. during the turnover ceremony.
She said a memorandum of agreement (MOA) establishing stronger cooperation between the parties was also signed during the ceremony.
“This is a clear illustration of the wonders that efficient relationships create. We always say this in Pasay – we advocate for collaborating, communicating, and coordinating,” said Rubiano.
“We are lucky that we nurture a great partnership with private companies such as SM. From then ’til now, and surely in the future, SM will be our partner in giving honest and sufficient services to the people. Ultimately, SM shares our dream of better lives for our people,” the mayor added.
