The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education (CBCP-ECCCE) cited the efforts, sacrifices and important role played by teachers in shaping the minds and ultimately the future of their students.
CBCP-ECCCE chairman Bayombong Bishop Jose Elmer Mangalinao expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the teaching profession as he cited their huge contribution to nation building.
“Teachers and all the individuals working in schools play an integral part in the development of their students. I am praying for more blessings to come their way. May God continue to help you with your task of shaping the minds and hearts of your students. May God bless you every day,” said Bishop Mangalinao over Radio Veritas.
The Church leader assured teachers and all teaching staff of his prayers for good health and strength to be able to continue with their noble work.
The nation observes Sept. 5 to Oct. 5 as National Teachers Month.
The theme for the month-long celebration is “Together 4 Teachers “ which focuses on the teachers’ crucial role, loyal service and dedicated commitment in developing globally minded citizens, nurturing families, strengthening communities and building the nation.
