Lyceum of the Philippines University looks to preserve its unblemished record when it clashes with San Sebastian College-Recoletos while both University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and Arellano University hope to break through on Tuesday in NCAA Season 99.

The Pirates will put their clean 3-0 slate at stake in their 4 p.m. clash with the Stags, which will be preceded by the match between the ALTAs and the Chiefs, who are both winless with identical 0-2 records, at 2 p.m. at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Lyceum is coming off a big campaign during the opening week, where the Pirates dealt heartbreaks to defending champion Letran and last season’s runner-up Benilde before escaping Perpetual last Saturday.

In these first three games, Lyceum flaunted its depth.

Against the Blazers, JM Bravo top-scored for the Pirates while Shawn Umali took care of business in their tight 70-69 victory against the Knights. Veteran guards Enoch Valdez and Mclaude Guadaña then led the charge for Lyceum against the ALTAs as LPU remained unbeaten.

And more heroes are expected to shine for the Pirates as they look to extend their hot start in Season 99 against the Stags.

In the first game, meanwhile, Perpetual and Arellano will try to break through.

The Myk Saguiguit-mentored Perpetual ALTAs, who were seen as a dark horse prior to the season, are coming off two defeats at the hands of surging Emilio Aguinaldo College and Lyceum.

The Chiefs, who lost several key players and their former coach during the offseason, bowed to San Beda University and San Sebastian to drop to a 0-2 card as well.
