Lourdes “Deedee” Munson Siytangco, who served as spokesperson of then President Corazon Aquino has died, her daughter said in a Facebook post.
She was 83.
“It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our dearest mother Deedee Siytangco,” Margaret Tipton-Siytangco said.
Siytangco’s wake will be at the Heritage Park in Taguig City starting on Saturday, September 30 at 4 p.m. until Tuesday, October 3 at 10 a.m.
Her family asked the visitors to come in white or yellow, not just black.
Siytangco was one of the founders of Bulong Pulungan, which started as a lifestyle forum and then evolved into a forum for political, business and other issues.
She also served in a number of civic organizations and wrote a column for the Manila Bulletin. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
